close the loop

Are you feeling unsettled about a particular relational situation right now?

If you’re worried about what someone else is thinking about you, the easiest solution is to reach out and ask them. I call this concept “Close the Loop,” and it’s a practical tool you can use every day.

Here’s how it sounds:

“Hey (name), I’ve been feeling a little unsettled about how things went the other day… how about you? Could we talk about it?”

Yep. That’s it. Way simpler than worrying and wondering and dragging all your friends into sharing opinions about what so-and-so is thinking and how you can fix things.

Don’t waste time talking to everyone else. Go directly to the source.

Three TRUTHS to boost your courage:

  1. Asking instead of imagining gives you FACTS to work with.

  2. Asking OPENS the door to restored relationship.

  3. Asking (and receiving the answer) allows you to move on to other things that require the ENERGY you are currently wasting on worry.

You’ve got a lot of important things to do today, friend. Don’t let another minute be wasted with unnecessary worry.

Go directly to the source of your concern, have an honest conversation, and CLOSE THAT LOOP. If you’d like a little coaching around a specific situation, grab a FREE Discovery Call below.
